My Story: Helping Inverclyde Businesses Go Online
Hello and welcome! I’m Chris, and I’m passionate about helping small businesses like yours unlock their online potential. My foundation in web development began at West College Scotland and Glasgow Caledonian University, where I gained the technical skills to build engaging websites. Soon entailed my first business venture: Green Oak Media!
After some time, I encountered a common hurdle: the market for basic websites became saturated, making it difficult to offer truly impactful solutions when businesses could get a “quick fix” for very little. I took a pause from web design and spent time working in carpet fitting (quite the change from the web stuff – but the bills needed paid!). Although a very different field, it did allow me to connect with a lot of the general public, and over the years I have learned of many problems that business owners frequently encounter.
A consistent theme emerged: the struggle to establish an online presence. Many knew they needed one but lacked the time, knowledge, or confidence to get started. This experience reignited my drive to help, but with a renewed focus on practicality and real results.
While I’m constantly learning and expanding my expertise, my strength lies in making the complex world of online marketing simple and accessible. My aim is to be completely transparent with you, breaking down what might seem overwhelming into clear, actionable steps. I’ll also introduce you to powerful digital tools you might not even know exist.
I’ve had the privilege of seeing the tangible difference a strategic online presence makes. I’ve successfully used Facebook Ads to drive significant leads and revenue for local businesses, optimized Google My Business profiles for greater local visibility, and implemented SEO techniques to ensure websites are found by the right customers.
